How beautifully Finnish sisu complements Japanese learning. I've also loved the metaphor of trees as illuminating human life and the Christian image of the tree of life... a lifetime of learning 💚 🌳

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.

I have grown to appreciate the idea of margin and not rushing through the process of going from one place to another in my schedule. I have added a little extra time to the travel appointments and the scheduled times for my routines for various daily life events. It feels like I am resisting the urge to do the rat race, and failing more in love with the patience of being able to breathe in between the activities. It feels better than the other way for me.

I enjoyed reading this because you conjure beautiful slow thinking too. As well as physical rushing, sometimes there feels like a rush to decide or have an opinion. Trees can teach us so much about our inner selves. I turn to them quite a lot, even for things like how to structure knowledge and stories. We have so much to learn.
